ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Security Assistant will work on a roster providing day-to-day security at the High Commission. He will report directly to the Security Supervisor, and will serve as a key member of the High Commission Guard Force. (40% of role)
  • Day / Night Patrolling at the High Commission and at the Residence. ( 30% of role)
  • Night clocking rounds. (10% of role)
  • Operating and provide support on VHF and HF Radios. (10% of role)
  • Liaise with visitors and staff in English on a daily basis. (10% of role)
  • Working at the Reception and Telephone switchboard as required. (10% of role)

Language requirements:

Language: English + Sinhalese or Tamil

Level of language required: Spoken 

Working patterns:

Roster on 48 Hours per week

Additional Information

Preferably a person who is located in an around Colombo City as it’s easy for a person to work late hours and return home without any difficulty.

· Should be proactive in performing the duties and in helping others.

· Excellent communication skills in Sinhalese or Tamil and English.

· Be an active team players with proven ability to work using own initiative.

·Should have enthusiastic attitude and willingness to deliver a professional customer service.

·Be friendly and helpful and able to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations.
