- Identify opportunities by monitoring Swedish industry trends and spotting companies with potential to set up or expand in the UK;
- Build and manage senior‑level relationships with business leaders, investors, and key industry stakeholders;
Promote the UK as the investment destination of choice, highlighting strengths across our nations and regions and within key sectors such as:
- Advanced Manufacturing (including semiconductors & space)
- Clean Energy Industries
- Foundation Industries (construction, minerals, metals & steel, ports/logistics)
- Capital Investment
- Progress investment opportunities through the inward investment cycle, providing insight, guidance, and connections that support companies' expansion decisions;
- Develop and maintain a 3‑year active investment pipeline, ensuring accurate, timely pipeline management and forward planning;
Build strong professional networks and work closely with UK regional leads, Embassy colleagues, and other UK/Swedish stakeholders;
Project‑manage and deliver key investment‑focused activities, including senior visits and engagements, events, and cross‑government initiatives;
Contribute to wider UK Government priorities on growth, economic security, and innovation;
Travel for business across Sweden, the Nordic‑Baltic region, Europe, and the UK as and when required.
