Main purpose of job:     

Drive the Deputy High Commissioner to and from all official engagements. 

Provide support to the office by driving office vehicles as and when required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. To drive officials vehicles in accordance with the duties drawn up by the British Deputy High Commission (BDHC)

2. Daily maintenance & cleanliness of vehicle

3. Maintain journey sheets with mileage and fuel purchases

4. Conduct security checks on vehicle for quick plant devices

5. Proactively ensure that maintenance and statutory requirements for the vehicles are met

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU: 

You must perform your duties in a reliable, timely, safe and efficient manner.  Tasking may vary considerably from day to day.  You will be expected to deliver high levels of customer service and to exercise initiative within set rules and under the direction of the Transport Manager.

Language requirements:  

Language: English Hindi and Bengali

Level of language required:

Spoken – Good

Written - Basic

Working patterns: 

Full-time Employment

Flexibility to work long hours and on weekends / holidays if required.

Essential on arrival:   

1. A good command of oral and written English is expected.

2. A valid Indian commercial (LMV & HMV) driving licence.

3. Basic Computer skills (MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel)

Desirable:  

  1. Any working experience in multinational / multi-cultural companies, diplomatic missions.
  2. A commercial license is desirable

For other than BHC candidates, Basic Salary will be INR 23,424 per month together with a 12% provident fund and 6% Superannuation Fund.

No relocation or any other related costs or assistance will be provided. Notional tax will be deducted if you are not liable to pay local tax.
