The British Embassy in Podgorica, Montenegro is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit a full-time Projects Support Officer to support management and delivery of project portfolio under the "Conflict, Stability and Security Fund" (CSSF) in Montenegro. The successful candidate will work closely with the Embassy Projects Team and Europe Programme Team to ensure that all aspects of projects realisation, particularly reporting, administration and finance, are managed effectively.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Support delivery of projects under the Embassy programme portfolio, by monitoring implementation of several regional and bilateral projects and timely obtaining inputs from project implementers;
  • Provide support to administrative and financial management of the Embassy programme portfolio, including by maintaining projects records, monitoring spend, providing forecast and compiling financial reports as required;
  • Support accurate and timely reporting, by: 

            - Providing updates on project developments;

            - Flagging emerging risks for project delivery or underspend;

            - Compiling internal and external narrative reports in support of colleagues in Podgorica on a quarterly basis.

  • Support the Embassy as the Post Information Management Officer, ensuring relevant documents are archived for the public record and supporting colleagues' use of Embassy information management systems and support the programme colleagues’ use of the MIS;
  • Support the organisation of project-related events, visits and public diplomacy activities;
  • Provide support in ensuring all project activity is gender-responsive and in line with CSSF M&E standards.
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written, minimum C1 level*);
  • Fluency in Montenegrin (both oral and written);
  • Project administration skills and experience in an international or donor context or similar;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to think creatively and take a proactive role in achieving portfolio objectives.
  • Experience of project and programme work in Montenegro;
  • Experience of delivering projects or programmes in conflict, security, rule of law and/or good governance sectors.
