The Department for International Trade (DIT) is looking for a student to join the dynamic DIT team at the British Embassy in Copenhagen. The DIT Team helps UK businesses export to the Danish market and assists overseas companies to locate and grow in the UK.
Roles and responsibilities:
During the internship, you will gain insight into and become actively involved in a variety of interesting areas related to trade and investment such as:
Market research and business development.
Sector & opportunity mapping.
Responding to Business enquiries - Supporting UK companies to grow internationally.
Accelerating UK & DK involvement in priority campaigns for Clean Growth & Technology
Event management
Stakeholder management
Future projects earmarked for 2022-2023 will enable the successful candidate to work across a number of exciting projects connected to our Growing Green Together Campaign.
The DIT team is looking to recruit a determined, self-sufficient, enterprising and result-oriented individual who is driven by an interest for business, economics and trade policy.
The candidate must be fluent at C level in English, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages*).
We are looking for commercial flair, strong interpersonal skills, excellent English communication skills and the ability to deliver on set objectives.
This is a full-time unpaid internship for a period of 6 months (3 January - 30 June 2023).
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Copenhagen are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Danish employment law.
Visa/work permit requirements: Candidates must currently hold the independent right to live and work in Denmark and be prepared to ensure that right remains throughout the scope of the contract.
