Main purpose of job:

To provide reliable and courteous dispatch service.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Collecting and distributing Newspapers to the required teams
  • Delivering and collecting documents as required by Protocol
  • Delivering letters from BHC to other organisations, and picking up letters from other organisation to BHC
  • Submitting and collecting visas to and from other Embassies, High Commissions or Visa Application Centres.
  • Submitting and collecting Permits to and from Ghana Immigration Service (GIS)
  • Submitting and collecting officials document to and from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)
  • Submitting and collecting verification documents to organisations as required by various teams.
  • Delivering cheques to other organisations, and paying in cheques at banks
  • Making postal deliveries and collections
  • Maintaining official motor bikes and keeping them in good condition
  • Covering for drivers on official assignments, when necessary.
  • Any other related jobs assigned by Line Manager

Must be able to communicate fluently in English

A valid driving licence class B

Minimum 3 years experience of  driving a motor bike

Learning and development opportunities:

There will be on-the-job training initially on the High Commission’s operating systems, support from the network and access to the High Commission’s excellent online training, available to all staff. We offer a good L&D environment and encourage staff to develop their skills and expertise.

Working patterns:

Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:00, 35 hours per week
