Main purpose of job:


 Working with the IT Team in providing high quality and timely support to users on the different computer systems available and IT related administrative support in the Embassy and Consulates. Assist the Brazil Network IT Team with general IT/admin tasks including inventories, mobile usage audit, policies control, computer networking and hardware/software related issues    


 


Roles and responsibilities:


  • To support the IT team of the British mission in Brazil with their day-to-day information and communication tasks on the different computer and telephone networks.
  • Provide general support to customers on Hardware and Software in general (including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets, mobiles phones and Microsoft Software – MS Office suite) as well as ad-hoc IT maintenance.
  • Ensure that appropriate fault escalation procedures are followed when necessary.
  • Ad hoc support for the ICT and corporate services team (information searches, handling related administrative tasks, etc).
  • Support for the reception team, providing short term coverage for reception colleagues during emergencies;
  • Liaise with suppliers and service providers when required.
  • Maintain up-to-date hardware/software inventories.
  • Assist with official mobile usage audit.
  • Assist with control of security operation procedures.
  • Assist users with e-learning system.
  • Effective control ICT stock consumables.     

 

Essential on arrival: Intermidiate knowledge of Microsoft tools (Windows and Office)    


Desirable:  Advanced experience on Microsoft technologies
