Main purpose of job: We are advertising for an expert programme advisor to work on delivery of the new India-UK cyber joint partnership. The programme is new for FY 22/23, but builds on a foundation of strong recent UK cyber capacity-building in partnership with India. The new programme will work alongside other UK government cyber programmes, including those covering the wider Indo-Pacific region, and work with other like-minded cyber capacity-building countries and international organisations. Based in either Bangalore, Chennai or Delhi, in this role you will work with implementers (programme management agent and implementing partners), government stakeholders, private sector and civil society, in India and the UK. You will advance the objectives of the programme in line with the April 2022 India-UK Cyber Statement and the UK’s National Cyber Strategy 2022. The programme is part of the UK Government Conflict, Stability and Security Fund (CSSF). For further details on the CSSF, please see the CSSF Annual Report 2020-2021. Essential on arrival: · Experience of the cyber regulatory and/or policy environment in India and/or individual Indian States and Union Territories. · Strong presentation and drafting skills in English with experience of using MS Office software · Proven ability to work independently and proactively, anticipating problems and taking appropriate action as required. |
Desirable: · Project management qualifications / experience with relevant experience in managing projects or programmes in bilateral /multilateral agencies, civil society, or government · Experience of working in or with government, particularly within cyber, digital and/or tech sectors · Experience of working within geographically disparate teams |
For BHC candidates, the Local BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than BHC candidates, Basic Salary will be INR 157,741 per month together with a 12% provident fund and 6% Special Allowance

No relocation or any other related costs or assistance will be provided.

Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary, eg. some non-local national staff and some spouses or partners of UK diplomatic staff, will have their salaries abated by an equivalent amount.
