Main purpose of job:


To lead the inward investment team in Brazil and deputizing for the Head of Investment in Latin America and the Caribbean.




Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?:



These are the main responsibilities delivered by the manager:


- Deputize the Head of Investment LATAC during his absence and responsible for implemmenting and executing key performance and progress monitoring tools as well as supporting on the delivery of the Regional FDI Strategy focus on high economic impact investment into the United Kingdom;


- Drive our FDI agenda in Brazil and build a strong pipeline of investment projects from Financial Services, Technology, Creative Industries and Food & Drinks sectors specilly aligned with the concept of high economic impact investment;


- Team management;


- Support the Head of FDI LATAC to account manage Brazilian companies in the UK;


- Project advisor for High Value projects with Brazilian multinationals;


- Oversee and manage 4 High Value Campaigns (reporting, expenses, stakeholders, VIPs, projects and events delivered by the campaign);


- Budget control from all sources;


- Institutional relations with Brazilian stakeholders, including the federation of industries, sector associations and government, related to inward investment;


- Support the senior management team (briefings and reports as requested by HMA, Consuls, Deputy consuls, HQ Global operations, ministerial visits, etc);

- Ensure target delivery of 28 investment projects and final reporting of the fiscal year.


Resources managed (staff and expenditure):

        4 people


Essential on arrival: 10 years work experience, graduated from a business related course and experience in project management, team leadership, budget control.




Language requirements:


Language: Portuguese and English


Level of language required: both fluent



Post graduate degree in administration, economics, international relations or project management.
