The British Embassy, Doha has a vacancy for a Corporate Services Assistant - Estates, Grade A1 (L).

The Role:

The jobholder is responsible for supporting the Corporate Services Officer in the delivery of a quality facilities management service. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivery of Non-Technical Projects

• Administrative support, including:

              o Hotel bookings

              o Purchasing

• Housing, including;

              o Facilitating property handovers to new arrivals, ensuring properties are clean and well maintained and then restored in readiness for return to landlords

              o Organising any temporary accommodation if required

              o Ensuring any new property is correctly prepared and signed for and then checked upon departure

              o Ensuring the furniture inventory is correctly prepared and signed for and then checked upon departure

              o Ensuring properties are recorded in the property management database

              o Furniture logistics and storage

• Supporting the Corporate Services Officer in the delivery of the planned maintenance and improvements

• Liaison with Embassy cleaning team to ensure Embassy (internal and external) cleanliness throughout the day

• Liaison with Embassy maintenance team to ensure Embassy PPM schedule is correctly followed

• Provide support for meetings and events including room set up and provision of refreshments

• Deputising in the absence of Corporate Services Officer – Estates

• Ad hoc support the Corporate Services Team

• IELTS 7 or equivalent

• Good self-management, organisational and customer service skills

• Operational delivery experience

• Competent IT skills

• Holds a valid Qatar driving licence

• Previous facilities management experience

Working Hours and Remuneration:

The British Embassy offers a competitive remuneration package, including non-negotiable salary of QR 8,209/- per calendar month and transportation allowance of QR 800 per calendar month, paid in arrears. The Embassy offers a generous leave allocation and is committed to staff development. This is a full-time, fixed term for 2 years with a possibility of renewal.

The position is offered on a non-sponsored basis and due to the nature of the work, some flexibility on hours may be required. 

No accommodation and relocation expenses are payable in connection with this position.

Embassy working hours are 7.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday and 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on Thursday. 

The successful candidate will need to commence security clearance procedures through the Embassy.

Eligibility:

Candidates must already either reside in Qatar under spouse sponsorship or be able to transfer existing sponsorship to the British Embassy.

Process:

The recruitment process, including security clearance, is expected to take around two months.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo security vetting procedures. Any offer of employment will be subject to the candidate achieving suitable clearances, medical clearance and reference checks.
