Security

Main Purpose of Job:

Work within a Security Team.  Carry out the day to day security management of the mission and post residential accommodation; assist with managing the security budget and local guard force.

Roles and responsibilities

  •      Review and manage Security Team inbox, tracking progress from action owners and update the Team accordingly.
  •      Ensure the office is well equipped in order to deliver quality outcomes and undertake any administrative work assigned (filling, etc).
  •      Issue temporary passes to Staff and follow-up on their returns.
  •      Monitor and review visitor checklists to Kenya, and approve or escalate to Post Security Manager (PSM) where waivers are required.
  •      Ensure weekly incident alarm tests are done, documented and report any faults to the  Regional Technical Support Services (RTSS)Team.
  •      Submit Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers, follow up on invoices and forward to Nairobi Accounts for payment.
  •      Prepare requisitions, receipt goods/services on the Prism system, payment of suppliers via the Government Procurement Card, invoice verification and submission.
  •      Prepare weekly payment reports for General Service Unit (GSU), Diplomatic Police Unit (DPU) and the High Commissioner’s Close Protection Team and follow-up to ensure payment.  
  •      Cover for the Security Analyst during times of absence.
  •      Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager or Regional Overseas Security Manager (ROSM).
  1.      Minimum two years experience in an administrative role in busy working environment (mission or corporate) with  line management   responsibility.
  2.       Have a diploma or degree in business administration or any other related security field.
  3.       Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft packages (Teams, Excel and Word)
  •      Good team player,
  •      Able to work under minimum supervision;
  •      Able to work under pressure; and
  •      Deliver quality service.

7:15 AM -4:00 PM – Monday to Thursday

7:45 AM -13:00PM – Friday
