Main purpose of job

Provide analytical and administrative assistance to the Argentina, Chile and Uruguay Inward Investment Team and customer relationship support to Argentine, Chilean and Uruguayan companies willing to expand its operations to the United Kingdom


Roles and responsibilities

Analytical: Help the Argentina, Chile and Uruguay Inward Investment Team to identify key local companies to internationalise to the UK, according to HMG’s priorities and metrics of high impact Foreign Direct Investment.

Customer Relationship: provide support to Argentine, Chilean and Uruguayan companies that are willing to internationalize its operations to the UK; regularly updating Client Relationship Management (CRM) system; organize and support with agendas for investors visiting the United Kingdom; and ensure all enquiries, requests of information and requirements from the pipeline of potential investors are met in a timely and effective manner.

Administrative and Operational: Help the Argentina, Uruguay and Chile Inward Investment Team to deliver its planned marketing and client engagement activities throughout the financial year by organising events and missions; organising and supporting VIP and Ministerial visits to these countries and other important actions. Provide administrative support to the Argentina, Uruguay and Chile Inward Investment Team (meetings, reports, contracts, follow ups, briefings, finance etc) and any other activity as required by managers.

Time and travel: Position will be based in Argentina but will require quarterly trips around the region.

The successful candidate should be a university graduate or equivalent with relevant professional experience, and bilingual in English and Spanish. He or she will have excellent organizational skills, be results oriented and have a hands-on approach. The candidate must be able to work in a multicultural environment and have good time management skills.

Background and track record in investment promotion and/or experience of working in a business-related function would be a distinct advantage.
