View Vacancy - NCA International Liaison Support (FRA18.351)
The NCA (National Crime Agency) Paris Team (currently comprised of 3 ILOs and 2 support staff) is now looking to recruit a NCA International Liaison Support. The team work closely with a range of French Law Enforcement Partners on serious and organised matters affecting the UK, its citizens and its interests. This includes, but is not limited to, the following crime threats: drugs trafficking, firearms trafficking, money laundering, cybercrime, bribery and corruption, modern slavery and human trafficking and organised immigration crime. The additional support team member will be responsible for carrying out a range of administrative duties and other tasks to deliver France-specific and organisational objectives.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
Provision of written and spoken translation services for the International Liaison Officers; clearly communicating with French Law Enforcement agencies on behalf of the NCA;
Draft reports for dissemination to UK and French Law Enforcement partners;
Organise logistics and compile programmes for incoming/outgoing visits and events;
Attend a range of events, meetings and conferences in support of the ILOs to strengthen the UK-France bilateral relationship;
Liaise with partners across the Embassy in pursuit of the NCA ‘one platform’ approach through joint working;
Conduct ad-hoc open-source research and analysis, present findings in a logical and concise manner;
Carry out financial administration, including the payment of invoices.
- Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken (C2 European Framework);
- Strong organisational and time management skills – ability to manage competing priorities;
- Ability to build, maintain and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Sharepoint applications;
- High level of discretion and integrity.
- Knowledge of UK/French Law Enforcement;
- Previous experience of working in an international environment.
All appointments are subject to professional background check satisfactory security clearance.
