Main purpose of job

Provide commercial and administrative support to the Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education team within the Commercial Section (Department for International Trade) at the British Embassy in Mexico City.

What will the jobholder be expected to achieve?

  • Provide logistics support in events/fairs, trade missions and workshops related to the sectors.
  • Market research and report generation.
  • Share relevant information about Mexican context with those British SMEs that would like to explore the Mexican market. 
  • Draft and upload Export Opportunities for UK companies in EIG. 
  • Monitor the internet, newspaper and specialised magazines gathering information for the team and producing a bi-monthly newsletter. 

Essential on arrival:  

  • Must be currently studying a degree (undergraduate) in International Business, Business Administration, International Relations or any commercial related field or recently completed (within the last 12 months).
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Experienced in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable:  

  • Proactive.
  • Previous research experience.
  • Good social skills.
