Department for International Trade (DIT)

The British Embassy in Warsaw is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit an Intern to work in our Department for International Trade (DIT).

DIT is a governmental organisation, who works with UK-based businesses to help them expand globally. DIT has professional advisors in 100 countries around the world. The internship will involve working with Warsaw team, helping UK companies to succeed in Poland.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Assisting in preparation for events and seminars.
  • Database management.
  • General administration assistance.
  • Market intelligence.
  • Excellent command of English and Polish;
  • Master student or recent postgraduate;
  • Interest or background in trade, economics, business management, international relations or English philology;
  • Ability to research, collect and process data and market information;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Availability for full-time employment for a period of 3 months;
  • Good writing skills (to be tested during the selection process);
  • Good personal communication and organisational skills;
  • IT literacy;

This is a three month internship contract (37.5 net per week).

Please note that interns are responsible for paying themselves any income tax required by the local law to the applicable Tax Office. Please be aware that the British Embassy in Warsaw will not be able to cover any costs connected with relocation.

Candidates must have pre-existing work authorisation for Poland in order to apply. The British Embassy does not sponsor work permits.

Internships offered at the British Embassy are governed by the Polish Civil Code.

The British Embassy encourages you to have a medical check prior to commencing your internship, however, any costs incurred are not covered by the British Embassy.
