The British Embassy in Tashkent is part of the world-wide UK diplomatic network working on behalf of British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit a part-time Driver.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake all driving responsibilities issued by relevant Embassy staff, including delivery and collection of passengers, delivery and collection to MFA and other organisations, any other ad-hoc driving requirements. 
  • Maintain vehicle to road worthy standard, including cleaning and servicing, basic maintenance, maintaining fuel and oil and logbook as required by Transport Manager.
  • Prepare all paperwork and invoices for Transport Manager within the deadline set by Transport Manager.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc duties to help meet any Embassy Objectives.
  • Valid local driver’s ID (B, C, D categories);
  • Good communication skills;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Two years of working experience in similar positions;
  • Ability to prioritize;
  • Pass a competency based driving test set by the British Embassy;
  • Have good knowledge of the city of Tashkent;
  • Good level of written and spoken English and Russian.
  • Proactivity, strong analytical and problem solving skills. Confident of facing the challenges and overcoming the problems;
  • Good level of written and spoken Uzbek.

This is a part-time permanent contract of 20 hours per week.
