View Vacancy - Driver (UZB595)
The British Embassy in Tashkent is part of the world-wide UK diplomatic network working on behalf of British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit a part-time Driver.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Undertake all driving responsibilities issued by relevant Embassy staff, including delivery and collection of passengers, delivery and collection to MFA and other organisations, any other ad-hoc driving requirements.
- Maintain vehicle to road worthy standard, including cleaning and servicing, basic maintenance, maintaining fuel and oil and logbook as required by Transport Manager.
- Prepare all paperwork and invoices for Transport Manager within the deadline set by Transport Manager.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties to help meet any Embassy Objectives.
- Valid local driver’s ID (B, C, D categories);
- Good communication skills;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Two years of working experience in similar positions;
- Ability to prioritize;
- Pass a competency based driving test set by the British Embassy;
- Have good knowledge of the city of Tashkent;
- Good level of written and spoken English and Russian.
- Proactivity, strong analytical and problem solving skills. Confident of facing the challenges and overcoming the problems;
- Good level of written and spoken Uzbek.
This is a part-time permanent contract of 20 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be subject to professional background checks and security clearance.
