Main purpose of job:

The British Embassy in Jakarta is part of a world-wide network of 270 Posts, representing British political, defence, economic, trade, and consular interests around the world.  We are seeking a dynamic Corporate Services Officer to manage our day to day Embassy (and to some extent Consulate General) operational in Accounting and Logistics.

The jobholder will have an exciting opportunity to develop himself/herself further utilising Embassy global network, working closely with Indonesian Ministries and agencies as well as UK Ministries and Regional Hubs.  The jobholder must have a professional approach, as well as the ability to communicate in English with clarity, ideally in writing and in person.  The role may involve some domestic and international travels.

This is a permanent position however the successful candidate will be offered a 1-year Fixed Term Contract first.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve:

 

-          The main Embassy person in managing Embassy’s Insurances (Health, Travel etc) and managing all paperwork (contract extension, claims, queries etc);

-          The main Embassy person in managing Embassy’s transport fleet, drivers and messengers for their roster, paperwork and operational needs;

-          The main Embassy person in liaising with relevant government departments for diplomatic arrival and departure paperwork (including routine and ad hoc visits);

-          Manage Embassy logistical arrangements i.e. managing Embassy’s Telephone Directory, stocks and other routine; and

-          Any other duties and tasks.


-        Tertiary degree from recognisable university;

-        A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experiences (extra-curricular activity is not considered);

-        Analytical skills

-        Detail orientation and ability to prioritise

-        Experiences in managing people
