Security

To provide security at the Embassy main entrance and smooth operational support of reception during opening hours to the public.

  • Controlling access to the reception / public areas and carrying out security checks of customers through the archway scanner. In addition, ensuring that all bags are searched to retrieve any and add all items prohibited inside the office. - 65%
  • Monitoring visitos and consular customers in the waiting area. - 10%
  • Covering the Embassy Reception and providing professional service in handling calls and visitors. - 15%
  • Liaising directly with Regional Overseas Security Manager (ROSM), Post Security Officer (PSO), and Deputy Post Security Officer (DPSO), raise security issues as appropriate to ensure security practices are met. - 5%
  • Assisting in other embassy work and providing general support to wider activities to help ensure the smooth running of the Mission - 5%
  • Basic computer skills
  • Intermediate spoken and written English
  • Fluency in Mongolian language
  • Preferably had similar previous experience

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This position is covering the Embassy entrance but will also entail covering reception, thus, will require long period of standing time.

The British Embassy Ulaanbaatar offers a competitive remuneration package, including salary, benefits, leave entitlement of 20 days per annum (calculated in pro rata). 

Employment offers are subject to successful clearance of pre-employment and security checks.

Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy Ulaanbaatar is subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local employment law.
