Main purpose of job:

The Embassy is seeking to recruit a CST intern to work within the Estates team to support accommodation, construction and property maintenance projects run by team members. A key task will be to help with establishing new systems and procedures for creating a sustainable, efficient, customer-focused, cost-effective and health & safety conscious Estates platform. The jobholder will require good organization, delivery and team working skills. The Estates intern will also need to work closely with staff at the Ambassador’s Residence in order to support or supervise different tasks.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?: 

  •   Support the Estates team in the implementation of strategies, action plans and projects to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, responsiveness and high qualiy customer service in the team
  •   Support the Estates Accommodation officer in the arrival and departure processes of UKB staff.
  •   Work with the Maintenance Assistant in the supervision of monthly maintenance programs for properties
  •   Provide support on key Estates projects, such as warehouse inventory and garage sales
  •   Search for suppliers and obtain quotations
  •   Other administrative and operational tasks as may be required
