View Vacancy - DIT Commercial Intern - Rio de Janeiro
Main purpose of job
The UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) helps UK businesses export and grow into global markets and overseas companies to locate and grow in the UK. In this role you will help the DIT Brazil team achieve their targets related to those 2 goals by working with teams’ performance data and British and Brazilian companies in the Creative Industries as well as some in other non-priority sectors through emails, meetings, events, missions, and other activities.
Roles and responsibilities
- Support market research of opportunities in the sector in Brazil and relevant UK suppliers.
- Support the organization of networking events, agenda of meetings/visits, travel logistics, missions (inward and outward).
- Contact with UK and Brazilian companies in various sectors, especially the Creative Industries.
- Administrative support for the DIT Business Support team: record of activities/interactions, organise internal documents, mailing list, newsletter, translation, among others ad hoc activities.
- Gather performance data through our internal tools for the Performance Manager
- Work closely with the other team intern based in São Paulo and support the team creating and engaging in social media.
- Support other DIT teams across the network when necessary.
Undergraduate student. He/She must have advanced written and oral skill in English and very good communication skills in both Portuguese and English. Good command of Microsoft Office. He/she must also be flexible, dynamic, pro-active, have interest in international business and trade.
Language: Fluent English and Portuguese.
