Main purpose of job:

As part of the LatAm Regional Investment Team, to support the Investment Managers in Chile and Argentina delivering high quality foreign direct investment to the United Kingdom.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

-       Assist the Investment Managers from Chile and Argentina with administrative activities (eg. team meetings; KPIs analysis, processes, recruitments, budget control, tools and internal communications).

-       Provide assistance to investors and prospect investors from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay with market reports, connections, agenda in the UK and attending meetings.

-       Support and/or organize a number of investment attraction related activities/events/missions/visits in Latin America or in the UK.

-       Receiving enquiries from the InvestInGreatBritain Campaign and website and providing relevant information and assistance as required.

-       Constant update of the CRM system (CDMS) with information provided by the Country Investment Managers.

-       Assist Investment Managers from Chile and Argentina delivering briefings and reports to DIT LatAm Directors, Ministers, Ambassadors and senior members of staff.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Trade, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics or International Relations related subjects; or appropriate business experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent level of English is essential. 
  • Evidence of Trade or Investment related employment.
  • Knowledge of the UK offer to foreign investors.
  • Experience of both the UK and Latin American business environments and cultures.
  • Proficient user of MS Office and previous experience with CRMs.
