Driver / Messenger

Main purpose of job:

Provide excellent transport services to HMG’s staff and visitors to and from the assigned destinations.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Drive vehicles in safe and lawful manner at all times
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and prepare overtime schedules;
  • Carry out daily inspections to ensure that all vehicles are road worthy;
  • Be in possession of driving license at all times and to ensure that the vehicle is clean and tidy;
  • Communicate clearly through the use of mobile phone; car or hand held radio set. 

Resources managed :

The successful candidate will have no staff management role but expected to manage resources like fuel and lubricants.

 

  • Completion of High School
  • Minimum of 3 years previous driving experience
  • 3rd grade valid Driving License
  • Good knowledge of Addis Ababa metropolis
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Good command of English and Amharic languages 
  • Mechanic qualification and knowledge of other local languages will be an advantage

Normal working hours are 40 hrs. Per week
