The Corporate Services team at the British Embassy in Sofia is looking to recruit a full time Corporate Services Officer – Estates and Security to join the team. The successful candidate will support the Deputy Head of Corporate Services in estates and security areas. They will work together to ensure that the properties occupied by British Embassy staff are safe and compliant with the FCDO’s health & safety (H&S) and security standards. The Corporate Services Officer – Estates and Security will work closely with the maintenance contractor to deliver the pre-planned maintenance programme for our estates. They will be the contact person for maintenance and security visits – organising programmes, accompanying visitors, following up on reports and delivering recommendations arising from such reports. They will be involved in securing residential accommodation for our diplomats, leasing with contactors, property owners and occupants on resolving maintenance issues, and communication with different partners on topics related to compliance and H&S. The person will be supporting the management of our properties, monitoring their maintenance and the performance of our facility management contractors. They will be the holder of the Post Compliance Report. The Corporate Services Officer – Estates and Security, in close partnership with the team, will be required to build and maintain relationship with key external and internal stakeholders, local authorities and FCDO colleagues across the region to ensure that we follow FCDO guidance, comply with the required standards and develop best practices related to our security. They will be assisting the Post Security Manager in delivering any recommendation for improvement of our security. The person will be working closely with our security to maintain, check and submit different documentation. They will be responsible for our archive – paper and online. The candidate will be a strong team player, an effective communicator, with good prioritisation and problem-solving skills. This a full-time and permanent position of 36 hours per week (net of lunch breaks).
The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary of BGN 1956.77 (gross), (non-negotiable, payable 13th times per year).
The job holder will be entitled to 25 days annual leave. The successful candidate will be provided a mobile phone with unlimited data and calls.
We offer free parking space in City Center.
This position has limited possibility for working from home.

The successful candidate will be subject to confirmation of a background and security clearance. Anyone with right of residence and employment in Bulgaria may apply, including all EU/EEA citizens and the family members of EU/EEA nationals exercising a treaty right in Bulgaria.
