View Vacancy - HR Support (FRA19.441)
The British Embassy is part of a worldwide network representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. We are currently looking for a HR Support officer to join our HR team in Corporate Services. The selected candidate will report directly to the Deputy Head of Corporate Services.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and coordinate HR processes for locally engaged and UK Based staff;
- Maintaining and updating HR databases and HR elements of the Embassy’s sharepoint site;
- Provide specific advice to staff on protocol admin, vehicle registration and healthcare;
- Collaboration with the Community Liaison Officer and the Estates team for UK Based staff arrivals;
- Handle daily HR enquiries, administrative support for new arrivals, employment documents for local staff and interns, attestations, working on a regular basis with French Social Security, external payroll provider;
- General HR advice to staff regarding conditions of employment;
- Liaising with the HR hub in Lisbon for recruitment and updating staff details.
- Proficiency both oral and written in English and French;
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a HR Generalist role in France working in an international environment;
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Good organisational and time management skills;
- Genuine interest in people/HR matters;
- Discrete with excellent communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure with a clear focus on timely and concise communications to relevant stakeholders;
- Positive outlook with can-do attitude.
- Knowledge of French labour law and practice is desirable.
This is a full-time position with a temporary contract of 6 months, possibly extendable until return of the job holder.
