View Vacancy - 3 MONTH INTERNSHIP-BRITISH EMBASSY, BERLIN (DEU393)
The British Embassy Environment Team in Berlin is offering an internship for 3 months.
You will have a chance to learn about the climate work of the British Embassy in Germany and Government Ministries in London, as well as networking directly with a wide range of UK NGOs, think tanks, research institutes and British companies. You will also have the opportunity to see how international (UNFCCC) climate negotiations are conducted.
The Paris Agreement on Climate Change has now been ratified by 154 countries. It is important that commitments made in Paris now turn from aspiration to action. COP23 in Bonn in November is the moment to make the Agreement fully operational. As part of our commitment to this process, the British Government will host a Pavilion in the Bonn Zone. Here the UK will be running a full programme of workshops, talks from companies and NGOs and receptions throughout COP23. It will also be used to showcase the best of British expertise and innovation in green finance, technology, research and clean energy solutions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who is driven by an interest in climate change and will be able to take full advantage of this unique experience. We imagine that in addition to an interest in climate policy, you have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and excellent English communication skills.
Social Media experience, familiarity with Microsoft office (especially Word and Excel).
