View Vacancy - HR Support (FRA18.106)
The British Embassy is part of a worldwide network representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. We are currently looking for a HR support officer to join our small, busy HR team in Corporate Services. The selected candidate will report directly to the Deputy Head of Corporate Services.
Roles and responsibilities
Liaison with internal/external stakeholders over arrivals and departures of UK based and locally engaged staff.
Implement and coordinate HR processes for all staff.
Maintaining and updating HR databases and HR elements of the Embassy’s sharepoint site.
Other duties as required.
Locally Engaged staff : Handle daily HR enquiries, administrative support for new arrivals, employment documents, attestations, working on a regular basis with the French Social Security, general HR advice to staff concerning conditions of employment. Preparation of remuneration variables for our outsourced payroll provider. Liaising with the HR hub in Lisbon for recruitment and updating staff details.
UKB based staff : Handle daily HR enquiries and provide specific advice to UKB staff on protocol admin, vehicle registration and healthcare, collaborating regularly with the Community Liaison Officer.
The ability to communicate effectively in English and French, both orally and in writing.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Discrete with excellent communication skills.
Resilience and the ability to prioritize.
Genuine interest in people/HR matters.
Positive outlook with can-do attitude.
Previous experience as HR generalist.
This is a part-time and permanent contract.
