View Vacancy - HR support Officer (FRA22.477)
The British Embassy is part of a worldwide network representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas. We are currently looking for a HR Support Officer to join our HR team in Corporate Services as a cover for a sabbatical leave. The selected candidate will report directly to the HR Manager.
Roles and responsibilities:
Implement and coordinate HR processes for our UK Based staff
Provide specific advice to staff on protocol admin including accreditation, vehicle registration, healthcare
Collaboration with the Community Liaison Officer
Maintaining and updating our trackers, HR databases and HR elements of the Embassy’s intranet site
Handle daily HR enquiries; cover all aspects of administrative support for new arrivals, departures, on boarding documents for UK based staff, attestations, working on a regular basis with French Administrations, Social Security and FCDO healthcare provider
Provide assistance to staff with custom clearances and duty free processes
Provide administrative support to UK based staff with children school registrations and fees
General HR advice to staff including dependant’s work permits and tailored advice taking into account specific family circumstances
Other HR/Corporate Services tasks as and when required.
Minimum of 2 years of previous professional experience as HR generalist
Fluency at C1 level in English and French (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages*)
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Good organisational and time management skills
Genuine interest in people/HR matters
Discrete with excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure with a clear focus on timely and concise communications to relevant stakeholders
Positive outlook with can-do attitude
Previous work experience in an International environment
Previous work experience in Global Mobility and relocation
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months.
