View Vacancy - UK Visas - Executive Support Officer
Main Purpose of Job: The British Government’s Consulate in New York has an exciting opportunity for a driven person to join the UK Visas & Immigration team as an Executive Support Officer. In this role you would be working in a diverse international environment to support UK diplomats, armed forces personnel and other country based staff operating across the British Government’s network of Consulates and Government Offices in the United States. This network provides a platform for approximately 30 Government departments and agencies to conduct their work in the United States and is made up of over 900 staff with a rich and diverse background, skill sets, and experiences. The role will support delivery of world-class service to UKVI customers, by UKVI and our service partners. The jobholder will support the Head of Outreach in promoting awareness and understanding of the UK’s visa offer; delivering regionally tailored customer and stakeholder comms, working with HMG partners (including FCDO, DBT, Visit Britain and the British Council) to increase understanding of visits, study and investment offers. The role also involves quality assurance of the customer experience in Visa Application Centers and Secure English Language Testing Centers (where applicable) through visits to designated locations and engagement with stakeholders as well as participating in an agreed programme of formal audits, where confirmed, by the Head of Outreach. Focussed on customers, the jobholder will be responsible for collecting & reporting market insight and customer intelligence in an identified market or geographical sector, through the Outreach Manager to Visa teams in the UK. Driving continuous improvement of the visa service and our customer offer. Supporting Visa processing teams, with responsibility for promoting streamlined processing schemes with allocated HMG partners and stakeholders including liaison with commercial and other external partners. The jobholder can expect to be involved in activities that span the remit of UKVI work within region, working to support Outreach, Integrity and Assurance activities across the region. There will be a medium / high requirement for travel within the region. |
