Main purpose of job:

Support the DBT Latin America and the Caribbean (LATAC) Marketing and Communications HUB in the delivery of social media, marketing and communication campaigns, including visits and events.

As part of the regional DBT Marketing & Communications team, the job holder is expected to assist the team in the following categories: 

Marketing Activities:

  • Manage the inventory of GREAT branding material.
  • Update the LATAC activities calendar, raise key events that will require support, and liaise with the Brazil team for marketing activities.
  • Create webpages and administer the emailing system for the region.
  • Help create monthly reports, logging number of leads received, newsletters sent, landing pages created, number of clicks on bit.lys, event numbers, etc.

Social media:

  • Support the content production for and management of regional social media channels.
  • Produce audio-visual material for DBT teams (videos, photos and infographics in online resources like Canva and/or Photoshop).

Communications Activities:

  • Provide journalistic and photo coverage of events.
  • Media confirmations
  • Assist DBT and GREAT events (press conferences, receptions, other events) with: 
    a.    logistics
    b.    branding setup 
    c.    press welcomes

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
  • Proven advanced English proficiency (both written and oral).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Organisation skills.
  • Ability to summarise information.
  • Copywriting skills
  • Social media savvy (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Data analysis (for social media and digital marketing tools).
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Must have the right to live and work in Brazil.
  • Journalism/Communications/Audio-visual studies major.
  • HMTL
  • Knowledge of CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal).
  • Video editing, content creation, and graphic design skills.
  • InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, Photoshop or similar.
  • Interest in the British culture and the diplomatic relationship between the UK and Brazil

Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary, e.g. some non-local national staff and some spouses or partners of UK diplomatic staff, will have their salaries abated by an equivalent amount. 

Working patterns:

25 hours per week, M-F 10:00 – 16:00

The British Embassy Sao Paulo operates on a hybrid model. Candidates must be able to work in the office 3 days a week, with the option of working from home up to 2 days a week.
