View Vacancy - Security Guard (TUR583)
The British Embassy in Ankara is part of a world-wide network representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to hire two Security Guards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible overall security of Embassy compound, School, RLC area, DHM Residence and Lower compound .Checking occurrence book and patrol records;
- He/She carry out duties in consultation with the PSM. In charge of all visit to the (Reception, dinner, cocktail parties and other functions);
- Prior to VIP visits, provide necessary security arrangements with PSM and arrange meetings with other security organisations;
- To liaise between Embassy, UK Based Staff and the Alarm Company and also train UK Based staff usage of alarm system;
- Check for the letters bags parcels delivered to the Embassy;
- Clocking rounds;
- Search vehicles and visitors;
- Monitoring CCTV;
- Access Control of the visitors and staff;
- Physically control around of the Embassy.
- High School Diploma
- Hold a Valid Security Certificate 5188
- At least 3 years of Security background
- Possession of a clean valid Turkish Driver's License
- Communicate Clearly and Concisely , both orally and in writing
This is a full-time temporary contract of 1 month with the possibility of renewal to cover a sick leave, for 5 working days (48 hours gross) per week.
The annual salary for this position is 38,169.60 TL gross (including shift allowance), S2 level. Please note that staff members are responsible for paying any income tax required by local law.

The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check, security clearance and a probation period of 2 months.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Turkish employment law.
