View Vacancy - Plumber - TWG A1 (01/21 FT)
Main purpose of job:
The Technical Works Group (TWG) - Plumber Should be capable of carrying out plumbing works, installation,new and repairs, tests and inspections on existing water systems including completion of testing and inspection sheets.
Roles and responsibilities :
- He/she should be able to carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and day to day maintenance (DDM) in all one HMG estates ( offices and residential buildings) as required.
- He/she should be able to work towards agreed schedules and time scales and complaint with FCDO regulations.
- He/she should be able to communicate to the estate officer and/or Estates Manager of any problems encountered on site.
- He/she should be familiar with the required health and safety standards governing the plumbing role.
At least 3 years experience in a Government or Parastatal or Diplomatic mission or an International organisation as a plumber or water and Sanitization engineer with technical experience.
Able to prioritise a heavy work load and works well under pressure
Excellent organisational skills.
An open and approachable manner.
Should be Proactive
Customer focus
- A very good knowledge of plumbing materials and Suppliers
Quality and consistent service with technical expertise
Learning and development opportunities (and any specific training courses to be completed):
First Aid Training
Health and Safety training
Previous experience either as a contractor or employment as a plumber at an International Organisatiion especially HMG office or Estates would be an advantage
