Main purpose of job:

The Corporate Services department is at the core of the British Embassy’s Operations. The Corporate Compliance Administrator plays a crucial part in a dynamic team by being the local key person for a variety functions as well as the supporting the Team as a whole.

The role of Corporate Compliance Administrator is a challenging and rewarding position. It requires a motivated individual with an eye for detail, someone who is proactive and happy to learn on the job. Relationship building, ability to see the bigger picture and problem solve will be key to success in this role. This exciting position will expose the individual to a wide variety of areas within the operations arena.

Roles and responsibilities:

The Corporate Compliance Administrator is responsible for supporting our teams working on Procurement, Health and Safety and people/HR across the embassy – monitoring progress towards objectives and supporting staff and teams to ensure that they are delivering to the stipulated standards and requirements in their areas of responsibility.

The role requires a self starter who is proactive and confident to challenge both senior and junior staff in a constructive manner in order to achieve the agreed objectives and requirements. The successful candidate will be a competent and organised individual with strong administrative and communication skills. Collaboration with a variety of teams on an exciting array of tasks is key to success in this role and strong team work will be required in order to deliver the objectives and maintain compliance in the areas of responsibility.

There is a requirement to produce reports and feedback to the board in this role as well as work to tight deadlines which will require an individual who has the ability to perform under pressure.

The role will also provide a 10% administrative support to a senior member of staff alongside a 10% corporate contribution to the wider Embassy Community.
