Main purpose of job:    

Carry out electrical works in accordance with current regulations and Health and Safety guidelines.

Roles and responsibilities: 

  1. Diagnose & repair electrical problems on various electrical systems in accordance with current electrical regulations. 
  2. Demonstrate that all works to be conducted in a safe manner to include safe isolations of supplies.
  3. Installation of new systems to a high standard of workmanship.
  4. Conduct routine maintenance in accordance with Post Preventative Maintenance programmes.

Other skills / experience / qualifications: 

  1. Essential on arrival: NVQ 3 or City & Guilds in electrical engineering; experience working to UK or NATO standards for a multi-national company.
  2. Qualifications: High schoole diploma and any qualifiation in electrical works or electrical engineering will be an advantage.
  3. Desirable: Health and Safety training such as NEBOSH

SALARY PACKAGE 

The Local Staff Terms & Conditions for staff working in the British embassy will apply. 

For external candidates, salary will be $814.80 (Gross) per month with $100 transport and $125 medical allowances.
