NCA (National Crime Agency)

The Programme Administrator will provide support to the National Crime Agency (NCA) Liaison Officer (ILO) within a multi US law enforcement facility in Virginia. NCA acts as the single point of contact for de-confliction and co-ordination of criminal investigations impacting on the United States and the United Kingdom.


The successful post holder will facilitate the exchange of pertinent intelligence between UK and US law enforcement relating to serious crime investigations and to provide support to NCA operations worldwide by researching data to identify key individuals, networks, transportation routes, modus operandi, geographical footprints and associated financial infrastructures.


Responsabilities:

  • Compose, analyse and disseminate classified information reports;
  • Disseminate time critical classified information to Law Enforcement partners in a clear, concise, verbal summary;
  • Manipulate and command research via NCA and local databases and systems;
  • Employ open source research to supplement case investigations;
  • Provide administrative support to the ILO;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an analytical eye for detail.
  • An ability to work within a team environment, as well as on one’s own unsupervised.
  • A strong aptitude to multi-task, prioritise and exercise judgement in the face of conflicting priorities and competing demands.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to be professional, courteous and deal directly with UK and U.S. law enforcement officers/agents at all levels.
  • Ability to remain discrete and handle sensitive information.
  • The ability to achieve UK Government SC vetting status.

Under US State Department requirements, the Embassy may only employ, as non-diplomatic staff, persons who are US citizens, US Green Card holders or A visa holders*. The post holder will have access to classified material releasable to UK nationals only and has to have the ability to attain UK security vetting at SC level.
