Main purpose of job:

Supports the Communications Manager in all aspects of the job.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Social media updates and content generation.
  • Media monitoring, reports, and measurement.
  • Website editing.
  • Photo and video coverage of events.
  • Spanish/English translations.
  • Database updates.
  • Logistical support at events.
  • Coordination with suppliers.
  • Currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related area. 
  • Video editing skills: Adobe Premiere, FinalCut Pro.
  • Photo and graphic design skills, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Social media skills: Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite.
  • English oral and written proficiency is essential and the applicant must have good IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Valid Peruvian Carnet or DNI.
  • Highly organised, ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Sense of initiative and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Creative thinking.
  • Team work.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Corporate / organisational / development communications or public relations background preferred.

  • Communications provides exposure and promotes this post’s work and the UK government’s priorities through different channels, handling internal communications work as well.  
  • Interns will receive training according to their role, including Diplomatic Academy courses, and will be free to suggest and implement innovative ideas.
  • Working pattern to be agreed between LM and intern.
