Roles and responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to;
Event set up for all official events - formal dinners, lunches, breakfasts, receptions, outdoor film nights and outdoor receptions. This includes setting the formal dining tables and moving lots of furniture for event spaces.
Cleaning responsibilities for the official residence of HC for 20 hours a week- kitchens (x3), living rooms, staff rooms, staff washrooms and main floor washrooms, pool house washrooms and pool area, outdoor sitting areas. Occasionally covering for full time housekeep when needed, including laundry, ironing, guest bedroom cleaning. Additional cleaning duties at DHC residence for 6 hours a week.
Garbage and recycling room maintenance, storage room maintenance, event furniture/supply maintenance
Larger projects are required during less busy times, examples include silver polishing, carpets steamed cleaned and chandeliers dusted.
Assisting full time staff with duties where required. Examples include helping chef with dishes and cleaning of commercial kitchen and helping serve at official functions.
Language: english
Level of language required: good
Must be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting and working on feet. Trustworthy, polite, hardworking and self-motivated. Flexibility and being a team player is essential.
Must have the legal status to live and work in Canada.
