The Human Resources (HR) team currently leads on the people strategy and HR operation for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s Brazil Network. As a team, we are in charge of ensuring the Brazil Network’s is well assisted on HR matters, such as: staff development and welfare, performance management, payroll, benefits, internship programme, local staff contracts, recruitment, induction, and all other topics involving employee relations and the Brazilian labour law.

This position will be providing support to the HR Officers in the several areas within HR and delivering a good level of service to internal and external clients, developing the skills required for Human Resources support, strengthening both oral and written English skills.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Provide general assistance to HR team, which includes:

  • Assist in the Performance Management process;
  • Assist in the Language Programme management;
  • Assist on the Internship Programme management;
  • Assist in planning and controlling staff leaves, timesheets and toil balance;
  • Assist on recruitment/admissions and terminations;
  • Assist in organizing events and it’s logistics;
  • Liaise with suppliers and providers, quoting and organising different activities;
  • Research for new suppliers, products or services;
  • Update databases and make reports;
  • Organize and update the documents of staff;
  • Giving support to internal clients;
  • Keep sector charts, texts and presentations updated with accurate information;
  • Ad hoc duties as necessary (e.g. photocopies, escort visitors within the building, etc).
Have an education/degree ongoing on HR, Management, Administration or Psychology. He/she should possess an excellent command of written and spoken English and Portuguese with strong organisational, communication, pro-activeness, customer service, team working.
Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office tools.
