Main purpose of job:

To provide information, advice and coaching to managers of locally engaged employees and the employees themselves on the application of HR policy and  processes in each location, and to ensure self-service support is of high quality, consistent in style, and accessible. To provide administrative support to local teams, specifically on recruitment, contract and benefits administration.

Roles and responsibilities:

Provide advisory support services to managers and individuals - on all aspects of employee life cycle and associated policy and processes - by phone and email. Advise, support and coach managers and employees on:

•           Individual T&C and policies.

•           Appropriate navigation and understanding of HR processes

•           Risks and potential consequences of particular courses of action.

To administer HR processes, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and consistency.

To provide the highest possible level of   customer service in terms of; managing expectations, achieving service level   agreements, accuracy and consistency.

 

HR Advisor

To provide advice on the country contract,  Labour Law in conjunction with the DFID policy.

Keep the Work Force Plan updated.

Avise on the changes and implication of the  labour law.

 

HR Administrator

To continually improve on an individual level by evidencing self-awareness, reflection and owning personal development.

To contribute to the continual improvement of  the team by owning and challenging processes and norms appropriately.

To contribute to the continual improvement of  managers by working with managers to help improve their awareness and capability to manage core people processes.

Ensure effective and consistent record  keeping.

Work across the HR Model and escalate appropriately when issues become more complex, business risks increase, or  where there are complex client handling issues.

Administer all documents, letters and deadlines- inform relevant adviser of upcoming deadlines, contracts ending etc.

Relevant HR qualification

Experience depending on qualification (3 to 4 years advantages)

Strong recruitment experience with proven track record

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong organisational skills

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels in a fast paced environment

Must be able to deliver high quality work to strict deadlines and have experience of working to challenging service delivery standards

Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Proficiency in all MS Office applications,  specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
