Main purpose of job:
To act as the senior technical lead for electrical systems, providing independent technical assessment and recommendations on electrical system performance, safety, compliance, and operational risk. The role is responsible for overseeing electrical risk, advising Facilities Management and senior management, assuring the quality and compliance of electrical works delivered in-house and by contractors, and providing day-to-day technical supervision of Technical Work Group staff at S1 and S2 grades. The post also provides technical cover in the absence of the Technical Work Group Lead to ensure continuity of operations.

Resources managed (staff and expenditure):
Provides day-to-day technical supervision, task coordination, and guidance to Technical Work Group staff at S1 and S2 grades, including plumbers, HVAC technicians, storekeeper, multi‑duty technicians, painters, and helpers. Oversees contractor performance for electrical works and acts as the technical lead for inspection, acceptance, and sign‑off of completed electrical activities.

Supports the capability and development of staff through on-the-job guidance, mentoring, and identification of relevant online and classroom-based technical, health and safety, and compliance training aligned with operational needs.

For British High Commission (BHC) candidates, the Country Based Staff BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.
For other than BHC candidates, starting salary will be LKR 196,333 + EPF 12% + ETF 3% per month. Other benefits include 13 month’s salary (pro-rated) and medical insurance coverage.
