RCSH (Regional Corporate Service Hubs)

The Regional Human Resources Officer works as part of the Regional HR Hub. The role works under the supervision and guidance of the Human Resources Advisor.

This position requires an extremely detail oriented, enthusiastic person, who is capable of communicating with and influencing individuals at all levels of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Enquiries Management (40%)

  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries from local staff in the region, according to their urgency and subject matter within relevant SLA targets;
  • Respond to, and advise on complex and/or sensitive employee enqueries, ensuring proper escalation if required;
  • Log enquires handled recording relevant data and resolution chain to ensure all services provided are properly recorded and accounted for;
  • Proactively liaise with managers within the region taking appropriate action on a timely basis –  on probation periods, contract renewals, employment confirmation or termination processes.

HR Advisory and Support (50%)

  • Provide support and advice to local FCO staff on policies and procedures;
  • Work closely with Posts to complete TACOs revision, updates, and interpretation of policies;
  • Support  annual performance appraisal cycle through communications to encourage consistent process & practice across the region;
  • Support and advise Line Managers and other relevant stakeholders during the performance management process including engaging on various PM champ meetings etc;
  • Draft  communication plans by building materials to drive performance management cycle across the Region;
  • Ensure effective systems are in place across the network for quality control of performance appraisals such as objective setting, benchmarking, and validation;
  • Provide management information to leadership around appraisal completions and other key data.
  • Manage content of Regional HR website;
  • Monitor staff survey results and provide analysis to post leadership;

Information Management (10%)

  • Compile HR direct metrics, analysing the enquiries received, and taking actions to support an employee self service model;
  • Collate and analyse data from the region to help develop an effective region-wide HR  strategy;

 

  • 1 years relevant HR experience. Experience in a shared service environment a plus
  • Degree required, HR or a business-related subject preferred, OR equivalent work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi tasking skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
  • HR qualification (SHRM, CIPD) is preferred but not required
