View Vacancy - Corporate Services Assistant A1, Prague (CZE646)
The British Embassy in Prague is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit an energetic, enthusiastic, self starter and motivated Corporate Services Assistant.
The selected candidate will act as assistant to the Corporate Services team, to support the team in day-to-day administration, procurement & finance, liaising with UK Based staff and other tasks and projects as required by current operational needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Support to UK Based staff in Prague: to assist Deputy HCS with admin tasks connected to UK Based staff local HR (Welcome Packs, quarterly tax claims, MFA and vehicle registrations, local schooling, medical issues, and other requests).
Regular admin: to update exchange rates monitoring/Per Diems calculators etc., to act as support to the L&D Champion when organizing workshops, trainings and sessions with guest speakers, to maintain the electronic equipment and office furniture database.
Procurement & finance: to act as Prism requisitioner (i.e. raise orders in P2P system), to run small procurements with the support of Deputy HCS (including regular VFM checks in relation to the market situation), to keep offline Agreed Supplier List up-to-date, deal with residual invoice processing (daily invoice checks and communication with relevant stakeholders as necessary).
Other: to cover for other CS team members during their absence, to process various data returns for regional Hubs, other ad hoc tasks (help finish up the CS shared drive filing redesign).
- Computer literacy – user’s knowledge, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good written and spoken English and Czech.
- Extensive communication skills and good ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant experience (customer service, internal procurement systems).
- Previous experience in an international environment.
This is a fixed-term part-time position for a two years contract, with probation period.
The salary is 16,771 CZK gross per month. In addition, staff receive monthly meal vouchers.
The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check and security clearance. The successful candidate must have pre-existing work authorisation for the Czech Republic in order to apply.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Czech Republic are subject to Terms and Conditions of Service according to local Czech Republic employment law.
