Main purpose of the job:

The South Asia and Afghanistan region is served by a Regional Human Resources Hub based out of New Delhi, covering 20 Posts in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. We work with Posts' Corporate Services Teams and Senior Leaders to ensure HR best practices, to support operationally and to advise strategically. 

The Regional HR Hub provides key HR Services (recruitments, pay and reward, talent and performance management and HR enquiries) to customers across the region and provides a strategic and professional HR capability to support Regional Senior Leaders in delivery of business of objectives. The HR Hub forms an integral part of the global HR offer to staff working in the overseas network for the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, and leads on all region specific HR issues in collaboration with the London based HR Directorate.

This is an exciting regional role in the HR Hub located in New Delhi servicing offices in the South Asia and Afghanistan region. The incumbent will be responsible for managing end to end recruitment campaigns of Local Staff for the assigned offices in the region and deliver successfully as per the agreed service level agreement.  The role reports to the Regional Recruitment Manager for the region.

Roles and responsibilities:

Recruitment Service Delivery – 60%

  • Guide and coordinate with the Hiring Managers/ Post HR/Corporate Service Managers to manage an error/hassle free recruitment process.
  • Ensure hiring managers share all relevant documents to start the campaign, obtain a thorough understanding of the job profile and the vacancy requirement to help bring right people at the right time in the right position.
  • Ensure approvals are in place for recruitment, review job grading, guide and advice hiring managers on the advertising channels and costs, and introduce new channels of sourcing candidates.
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery on the defined service level agreements with regards to advertising, scheduling interviews, offer letters, negates and other contract letters.
  • Understand the job requirements and ensure a good quality pool of candidates is shortlisted and shared with the hiring manager within the SLA.
  • Offer selected candidates and initiate the verification process as per the requirements
  • Agree joining date basis clearances and send necessary details to the candidate.
  • Prepare and share Letter of Appointment.

Stakeholder Management – 20%

  • Establish, strengthen and maintain relationships with all relevant stakeholders to effectively deliver services.
  • Liaise with recruitment vendors (verification agency, advertising agency, medical check-up clinics/doctors) to manage an effective delivery of desired services.

HR Administration & MIS – 10%

  • Effective management of the recruitment mailboxes, shared folders and related recruitment tools in accordance with guidance on record management.
  • Share joining information with the relevant teams for further processing.
  • Maintain and keep the recruitment trackers up to date.
  • Report on the monthly KPIs effectively.
  • Provide analysis of data as and when required.

Process Improvements & Other Responsibilities – 10%

  • Constantly strive to review processes and introduce recruitment best practices. Participate in HR team discussions and take initiative for process improvements.
  • Provide support on other ad-hoc HR projects and initiative
  • Be a back-up for the other recruiters

  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
  • Competent in organisational skills.
  • Articulate, level headed with very good customer service orientation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as a part of a team.

For other than BHC candidates, salary will be ­­­­­­INR 47,354 per month plus 12% provident fund and 6% Superannuation Fund.
