Main purpose of job:

To lead on and deliver innovative, informative and targeted digital communications for the British High Commission. Regular drafting of content to support communication activities.

Roles and responsibilities :

  1. Develop, implement and lead a digital engagement strategy that sets the direction of our digital engagement (linked to key FCO digital communications assessments and covers FCO digital communications best practice) which includes Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. You will lead the integration of our digital work into the department’s wider communications strategy.
  2. Develop an understanding of key audiences and how they can be targeted through the delivery of an audience segmentation exercise.
  3. Lead the implementation of digital campaigns linked to ‘Integrated Delivery Plan’ objectives that highlight and explain the work that the UK does in Pakistan.
  4. Raise the standard and quantity of published content on all of our digital platforms.
  5. Identify digital collaboration and partnership opportunities with external digital platforms to extend our reach to our target audiences and increase the impact of our digital campaigns.
  6. Regularly produce and edit high quality video content to support the High Commission’s wider communications plan.

Essential on arrival: Knowledge/experience of the Pakistani digital media landscape, Photoshop, audio, video editing, Adobe Premier, Hootsuite.

Qualification: Masters in digital journalism & new media, mass communication, Political Science, International Relations or other related social sciences degree.

Language requirements:

Language: English and Urdu

Level of language required: Fluent.

Salary Details:

For BHC candidates, the Local BHC Terms & Conditions will apply.

For other than BHC candidates, Basic Salary will be ­­­­­­PKR 133,046 per month.
