Main purpose of job:
To be a member of the Prosperity Programme Team, collaborating in external and internal activities, according to the objectives of the British Embassy in Bogotá.

To support the Prosperity Programme (PP), and work jointly with other Embassy teams, especially the  Press and Public Affairs team. under the supervision of the Prosperity Programme Communications Manager and Commercial Adviser, with responsibilities in the areas of communications and programme delivery. 


Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?

1.Support and develop communications inputs and materials to support campaigns and publications (digital and print).
2.Source and process materials ahead/during/after to amplify and disseminate PP events and activities. The coverage of events and visits includes photography, video-recording, interviewing and editing.
3.Review and assess the impact of communications initiatives, including media reports after official events or visits, and drafting communications impact reports periodically. 
4.Draft and design marketing materials for the Prosperity Programme, including brochures, infographics, images, posters, videos, and invitations.
5.Support the planning, organisation and development of workshops, meetings and events with stakeholders.
6.Support Press and Public Affairs (PPA) team with media outreach initiatives related to Prosperity Programme objectives, including press releases.
7.Maintain a stakeholder register for the Prosperity Programme to ensure we reach and engage with pertinent audiences, particularly on social media.
8.Support advisers in their project information management, to facilitate and improve project delivery and supervision.
9.Support the development of the programme bulleting and projects’ factsheets to support Prosperity Programme’s dissemination and stakeholders' management activities.
10.Support other related tasks identified by the programme team, including record keeping and project follow-ups in liaison with project partners.

Essential on arrival: 
•Currently enrolled in the last semesters of a university degree in communications or a related subject (journalism, advertising, digital marketing, international relations, business administration and alike.) 
•Strong writing skills in English and Spanish. 
•Available full-time 
•Responsible - committed to the job.
•Organised and attentive to detail. 
•Solid content creation and edition skills. 
•Sociable, able to interact and collaborate with different teams.
•Works well against deadlines.
•Interested in the UK.

Must have the legal status to live and work in Colombia

Language requirements: 

Language: Spanish and English.

Level of language required: Spanish (native), English (B2 certified by IELTS or TOEFL).

Desirable: 
•Well organised, well adept at working as part of a team, excellent customer services and providers management
•Experience designing graphic pieces for digital - an advantage.
