Main purpose of job:

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of IT services across the Deputy High Commission’s platform. The jobholder will perform IT Support Officer (ITSO) duties for staff using the classified tiers but will work with the IT Support Team as a whole to ensure the system is fully functional at all times. Lagos is a busy post and you will be expected to provide high quality IT and Diplomatic bag support to over 150 customers including PAGs. The successful applicant will therefore need to demonstrate skills in balancing and prioritising the workload and have excellent communications skills and very good attention to detail.

Roles and responsibilities:

IT Support (80%)

  • Maintain Cleared Firecrest accounts, mailboxes and DLs
  • Build Cleared Firecrest workstations and laptops
  • Set up and support Mobile Firecrest users
  • Maintain accurate and up to date Cleared Firecrest asset registers and SOPs
  • IT troubleshooting, responding to customer need
  • Ordering of Cleared IT equipment
  • Manage Secure VTC booking system
  • Maintaining Unclassified and Cleared Server back-ups
  • Maintaining all BDHC mobile numbers with the service provider
  • Management and maintenance of the Lagos Sharepoint Site

 

Bag Service (20%)

  • Receive all incoming AF bags
  • Prepare and send outgoing AF bags

 

  • CompTIA Network+
  • ITIL (minimum of Foundation level)
