View Vacancy - Press and Public Affairs Internship
Main purpose of job:
To be a member of the Press and Public Affairs Team collaborating in external and internal activities, according to the British Embassy in Bogotá objectives.
To collaborate in the embassy communications section reporting and under the supervision of the Deputy Communications Officer and with responsibilities and accountability in the areas of press and digital.
Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?
Press (50%)
- Gathering and drafting information of initiatives related to HMA, DHM, Political, Prosperity, Defence, Global, British nationals.
- Drafting of press releases on key priorities in coordination with Deputy Communications Officer.
- Translate documents when required.
- Monitor daily national media.
- Local and national media databases management.
Internal Communications (40%)
- Internal newsletter production.
- Updating TV screens weekly.
- Support logistics and setting of internal events.
- Coverage of internal events.
Digital & Design (10%)
- Create multimedia material required by anyone in the office.
- Support performance reporting of contents published in social media.
Desirable:
- Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Knowledge of world affairs.
- Knowledge of social media.
Language requirements:
Language: Spanish and English.
Level of language required: Spanish (native), English (B2 certified with IELTS or TOEFL).
There might be learning opportunities for improving video-editing skills and/or social media skills.
Working hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8:30 to 17:00
Fridays 8:30 to 13:30
