Main purpose of job:
Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing certain equipment and facilities, including air conditioning systems and units, central cooling system, water-cooling systems, Air ventilation systems, Air purifiers and refrigerators.

We reserve the right to review, revise or amend the roles and responsibilities from time to time reflecting the changing needs of business.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve:

  • Able to take minor decision with limited impact related to work at hand.
  • Maintenance of equipment as per given guidelines and schedules.
  • Installation of AC and related installation including cabling, piping and metal ducting as per FCO standards.
  • Repair and troubleshooting of AC, Fridge and other related equipment as per FCO standard.
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of fresh air ventilation system.
  • Should able to do copper pipe welding, brazing and other related tasks involve in such repairing.
  • Should be well familiar in handling of all the gases involve in AC and refrigeration.
  • Should be skilled to work on central cooling system.
  • Documentation of work done/planned as per FCDO requirements and guidelines.
  • Good understanding and ability to follow all related H&S standards, which include but not limited to fire safety, height safety and confine space safety etc.
  • Timely forecast of AC consumable for maintaining productivity of AC team.
  • Safe management of greenhouse gases involve in Ac and refrigeration.
  • Suggest solution for continuous improvement.
  • Staying up to date with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Language requirements: 

  • Language: English and Urdu
  • Level of language proficiency required: Intermediate level in Urdu and beginner level in English is acceptable

Working patterns:
Fixed duration of 48 hours a week

Once selected the candidate has to pass medical and security clearance.

Essential on arrival:

  • Diploma in Refrigeration & air conditioning or equivalent.
  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience in related field.
  • Fully skilled with international Health & Safety (H&S) standards for working at height.
  • Good understanding of English (Reading/writing).
  • Trainings or workshops related to H&S.
  • MS Office (basic).

For BDHC candidates, the Country Based Staff BDHC Terms & Conditions will apply. For other than BHC candidates the basic salary will be ­­PKR 84,986 per month. This salary is non-negotiable.

Please note that the current salaries are being dollarized and processed in USD (using a fixed corporate exchange rate from November 2022) to provide cushion against the current external market conditions. This is a temporary measure and is subject to review at regular intervals. The payroll will revert to local currency processing once the external market conditions are normalised.
