The primary role will be to assist UK fashion companies looking to expand internationally using the USA as an export location & to assist US fashion companies looking to expand internationally using the UK as an inward investment location. This role will support the Consumer Retail high value campaign.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Proactively identify US fashion that may be interested in establishing or expanding operations in the UK. Make initial contact, organize visit programmes and schedule meetings for the TIO. Attend meetings where appropriate and support the management of client relationships.
  • Conduct research and compile reports on industry developments, best routes to market and potential US business partners for UK fashion exporters looking to enter the US market.
  • Assist with initiatives such as trade missions, seminars, webinars, receptions and other events to promote the UK’s strengths in fashion. Provide event management and logistical support where necessary.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience, preferably in international business
  • Strong networking skills and client management experience.
  • Committed team player.
  • Ability to be proactive, organized and work to deadlines, while operating as part of a wider team with shared goals and wide-ranging objectives.
  • Ability to problem solve, organize, prioritize and manage tasks.
  • Excellent research and report writing skills, with an ability to emphasise relevant information and to provide clear, concise summaries.
  • Understanding of the business environments in the UK and US, and the factors companies consider when expanding internationally.
  • Knowledge of the Fashion industry in the US and/or UK.
  • Attention to detail and good follow up discipline.
  • Computer literacy in standard Microsoft applications; and valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to undertake occasional travel within the US and the UK, ability to attend morning and evening events.
