Main purpose of job:
The Corporate Services department at the British Embassy Harare is at the core of the Embassy’s operations. The Corporate services driver plays a key role in the delivery of the country’s objectives by being a key member of the transport department and ensure the British Embassy is represented to the highest standard while undertaking allocated duties as detailed.
The role of the Corporate services driver is a challenging and rewarding position. It requires a motivated individual with an eye for detail, someone who is proactive, able to learn on the job, ability to work with others and deliver a quality service will be key to the success in this role.
Roles and responsibilities:
The Corporate Services Driver role will be responsible of the following:
• Taking members of staff to and from appointments in and around Harare.
• Carrying out messenger duties as required including delivery of official sensitive mails.
• Documents to the bank.
• Delivery of documents to MFA and various other organisations.
• Conducting field trips across the country,
• Journeys cross-border transporting either colleagues or goods.
• To assist in the maintenance of the vehicles.
• Assist in the management of transport requests.
• Take part in the wider Corporate Services duties as required.
- Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence
Language requirements:
Language: English
Level of language required: Fluent read, write and speak
- Medical Certificate
- Valid Defensive Driving certificate
- Retest and class 2 drivers licence will be an added advantage
- Employees recruited locally by the British Embassy in Harare are subject to the Terms and Conditions of Service according to local employment law in Zimbabwe.

- Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary may have their salaries reduced by the equivalent local income tax amount.
