The British Embassy in Sweden is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas and is now looking to recruit a full-time Residence Housekeeper to carry out household activities efficiently and effectively in the Ambassador Residence to a high quality standard, following a schedule worked out with the Residence Manager.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for general household work: cleaning, washing, ironing;
  • Help in preparation for events: flower arranging, table setting, silver polishing, serving;
  • Help in kitchen handling.

 

  • Have good communication in English language both oral and written (independent user);
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a similar role either in facilities management or the hospitality industry;
  • Maintain a customer focus approach;
  • Willing to take initiative, flexible, proactive ("Can do" attitute);
  • Ability to organise self and work effectively;
  • Able to work effectively and supportively with colleagues, both individually and in a team;
  • Able to act with discretion at all times;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule;
  • Have good IT Skills – familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, outlook, excel);
  • Have a positive outlook;
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Have good communication in Swedish language both oral and written (basic user).

This is a full-time Temporay contract for Maternity cover (40 hours per week).
